for St Dennis Parish Council meeting September 2006
Report from the Parish
Council Meeting dated 19th
September.
- PC Miller, the Neighbourhood Beat Officer
reported that there had been 9 crimes reported during
July and August of which 6 had been reported.
- Councillor Greenslade reported on his
visit with other District Councillors to the EfW plant in
Kirklees. It was disturbing to note that the plant was
out of action due to a major breakdown and would not be
in operation until November at the earliest.In the
interim waste was to be landfilled.
- The blocked leat behind Manson Place has
at last been cleared by the landowners, Tregothnan
Estates, and this should alleviate the flooding problem
experienced in Manson Place.
- The Council agreed to the removal of the
roundabout in the Playing Field which has failed the
standard required by ROSPA.This will be carried out by
contractors when they begin erecting fencing around the
play area in October.
- Restormel Borough Council are now
undertaking major works to the surface water drainage
system in Hendra Prazey after lobbying by the Chairman of
the Parish Council.These works should prevent the
flooding of the bungalows in Hendra Prazey in future.
- Council received and approved reports from
the Planning Committee meetings held on 12th
and 26th August and 9th September.
- Due to continuing dog fouling in the
Cemetery the Council resolved that in future no dogs
would be permitted in the grounds with the exception of
guide dogs for the blind.
