The Community Policing report showed that there had been 8 reported crimes in September of which 3 had been detected.
The Council received a report from Celine Elliot (YP2 Project Manager) who is trying to establish a project on the lower Trelavour Downs involving young people in the village.The form of the project has yet to be established but the Parish Council are very supportive of it and will be assisting in any way it can.
A member of the public complained about the large amount of dog fouling on footpaths particularly in the School Lane area which is of course used by many children.At present the provision and emptying of dog fouling bins is carried out by Serco Ltd on behalf of Restormel Borough Council and the Parish Council are looking at ways to increase the provision of bins.
The Parish Council have been lobbying the County Council for improvements at the lower pinch point in Hendra Road which is a cause of concern to many residents.It is hoped that at least double yellow lines will be introduced on the south side of the pinch point to prevent vehicles parking and obscuring vision up the road.
The Parish Council has made a donation of £500 to the newly formed St Dennis Community News Group who are working to introduce a community magazine for the St Dennis area.The Council had received many requests to introduce a community magazine but IT NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT TO BE A SUCCESS.
The Parish Council also confirmed a donation of £300 towards the costs of the ‘Over 70’s Christmas Lunch’.
