Press release
for St Dennis Parish Council meeting November 2006
Report from the Parish
Council Meetings dated 14th
and 28th November.
- The Community Policing report showed that
there were 5 reported crimes in October of which 1 had
been detected to date.
- A letter has been received by the County
Council from the Health & Safety Executive stating
that additional drainage works under the new tip on
Trelavour Downs is unnecessary.
- The legal transfer of Enniscaven War
Memorial to the Parish Council is nearing completion.The
laying of a wreath by the Parish Council at the war
memorial was appreciated by the residents of Enniscaven
and this will be continued in the future.
- The fencing of the play area in St Dennis
Playing Field has been completed at a cost of about £15,000.
- Major remedial works to alleviate the
flooding problems in Hendra Prazey have been completed by
Restormel Borough Council.
- The Council approved Planning Committee
reports of the meetings held on 21st and 28th
October.
- The Council approved a grant of £100 to
the St Dennis Variety Company towards the cost of the
village pantomime.
- The Council reviewed the grass cutting and
Cemetery maintenance contract and approved the
continuation of the contract for a further year.
- The Council agreed to consult with the
Parochial Church Council to explore how the parish
magazine might be re-introduced.
10)The Council approved a precept of £26,570
for the year 2007/08.
