NOTES FROM THE ANNUAL PARISH COUNCIL MEETING DATED 8TH MAY 2007.


  1. Councillor F.Greenslade was elected Chairman of the Council for 2007/08 and Councillor Mrs J.Clarke was elected Vice Chair for 2007/08.

  2. All the Parish Councillors present made the statutory Declaration of Office.

  3. PCSO Fisher reported that there had been 3 reported crimes in March and 4 in April.

  4. The Parish Council have received a reply from the Patient Public Involvement Forum regarding the future of the doctors’ surgery in St Dennis.The letter confirmed that the Clays Practice was committed in the long term to keeping a surgery in St Dennis and had no plans for closure.

  5. The sundial at Trelavour Prazey has been refurbished and will be fitted when a suitable means of protecting it is found.

  6. The Council’s audited accounts for 2006/07were approved which showed a surplus in the year of £7,743 and a balance carried forward of £32,038 of which £25,100 was earmarked for specific projects.

  7. The Council have received an enquiry from Restormel Credit Union regarding the possibility of opening an office in St Dennis and a representative of the Credit Union will be attending the next Parish Council meeting to explain its work.

  8. The Council agreed that the vacancy on the Council should be advertised so that a decision to fill the vacancy by co-option can be made at the June meeting of the Council.
