Tuesday of each month in the ClayTAWC Centre. All meetings start at 7 p.m. and

particular concerns.
Notes from
the Parish Council Meeting held on the 14th June.
a)
PCSO McRobbie
reported that were 7 reported crimes in the Parish in the last month although
most of these offences were minor matters and levels of crime in the Parish
remain very low.
b)
The Parish Council has been successful in
its bid for funding to Cornwall Council to provide a new bus shelter in the
village. The shelter will be positioned on Trelavour Prazey at the bottom of
Wellington Road. A second bus shelter is also being considered possibly to be financed from Councillor
Greenslade’s local discretionary
allowance from Cornwall Council.
c)
Although the Parish
Council’s bid for funding to help finance a skate park in the Playing Field
has been ‘frozen’ under the Government’s cuts in public expenditure, efforts
are continuing to raise the finance from other sources. The Council noted this
and authorised the Playing Field Committee to continue working on the project.
An important element in successful bidding for grants is support from the
local community and the Council hope that youngsters and parents in the
village will come forward and give their
views.
d)
Parishioners will
have noticed that substantial road patching is taking place in Carne Hill and
Fore Street which was approved in March after continual lobbying by the Parish
Council.
e)
The Council approved
a grant of £500 to the Cornwall Waste Forum (St Dennis Branch) to assist in
financing the services of a barrister to give an opinion on whether there is a
good case for applying for a Judicial Review of the Secretary of State’s
decision on the ‘Incinerator’.
f)
All future Parish
Council meetings will be held on the first Tuesday in each month, the next
meeting being on Tuesday
5th July in the ClayTAWC Centre commencing at
7.00.p.m.
