Press release
for St Dennis Parish Council meeting 13th June 2006
- PC Miller reported that there had been 6
reported crimes in May of which 3 had been detected to
date.PCMiller will soon be contactable on a mobile phone
number (number to be published in Notes & News)
which will increase his availability to the public.
- The manageress and staff of the Spar Shop
attended the Council meeting and informed the Council of
the strict measures that were being taken to restrict the
sale of alcohol,tobacco etc to minors.They also refuse
such products to customers who are over 18 where they
believe that the purchase is on behalf of minors.
- Members of the public present and
Councillors remain concerned over the likely resumption
of mining operations on Trelavour Downs.The Council will
be organising a public meeting probably as part of a
Parish Council meeting to discuss this.
- The Council received a report from
District Councillor John Wood in which he again
emphasised local village organisations to apply for
grants from Restormel Borough Councils Area Clay
Committee.
- The Council will be finalising its
response to the published Cornwall Waste Development
Framework on the 20th June and forwarding this
to the County Council.A summary of this will be placed on
the village notice board and more detail will be
available at the Parish Councils office in the
ClayTAWC Centre.
