PARISH COUNCIL NEWS.

The Parish Council meet on the 2nd Tuesday of each month in the ClayTAWC Centre.All meetings start at 7 p.m. and the public are very welcome to attend.There is a regular agenda item of 10 minutes duration when members of the public may speak and raise their particular concerns.

Notes from the Parish Council meeting held on the 14th July.

  1. The Council have co-opted Ken Rickard as the new Member to fill the current vacancy.

  2. PCSO Fisher reported that there had been 8 reported crimes during the month of June.The problem of parked cars obstructing the dropped kerbs near the Doctors’ Surgery was raised and PCSO Fisher agreed to keep a check on this situation.

  3. After a meeting with Parish Council representatives Tregothnan Estates have agreed to lease the land on Trelavour Downs to the Council if the Trelavour Downs Project proceeds.

  4. The Council have lodged a bid for funding up to £10,000 to replace old play equipment in the Playing Field.

  5. Council representatives will shortly be meeting with Highways Officers of Cornwall Council to discuss ongoing highway problems in the village.

  6. Councillor Greenslade reported that Sita UK Ltd has yet to lodge an appeal against the refusal of planning permission for the ‘Incinerator’ and added that if an appeal was lodged it would be to the Government Minister and not to Cornwall Council.
