for St Dennis Parish Council meeting February 2006
Report from Parish Council Meetings 7th
February.
- The new Community Policeman, PC Simon
Miller,was welcomed by the Chairman to his first meeting
of the Parish Council.PC Miller reported that there had
been 5 reported crimes during January of which 1 had been
detected to date.
- County and District Councillors reported
that the County council tax was likely to increase by 5%
and the District council tax by 4.5%with effect from the
1st April.
- Complaints have been received concerning
contractors lorries shedding aggregates on roads
around the parish.This is being pursued with the main
contractor for the A30 improvements.
- The Council intend to dispose of the
portacabin located in the Playing Field behind the
Boscawen Hotel.Any person interested in acquiring it free
of charge should contact the Clerk in the ClayTAWC Centre.
- The Parish Councils nomination for
the Restormel Borough Councils Good Citizen
Award is Mrs J.Salmon in recognition of her service
to the local community over many years.
- The County Council have announced changes
to the Mobile Library Service calling in the parish.Details
of the revised times will be posted around the parish.
- The Parish Council have fixed the date for
the Annual Parish Meeting as Tuesday 21st
March at 7 pm in the ClayTAWC Centre.Any local government
elector for the parish may attend and ask questions
regarding any parish matter.
