Press release for St Dennis Parish Council meeting August 2007


  1. PCSO Fisher reported that there had been 5 reported crimes during July.

  2. Celine Elliott (Project Manager YP2) gave a talk on the work she was carrying out with PCSO Fisher to build relationship with young people in the community.

  3. Council received reports from County Councillor Higman and District Councillor White on county and District matters respectively.

  4. Councillor Mrs Clarke reported on the efforts that were being made to re-introduce a community magazine.

  5. The Council noted the budgetary control report for the quarter 1/4-30/6/07.

  6. The Council noted the acknowledgement from the office of Government of the South West of its letter calling for a public inquiry into the proposed ‘energy from waste’ plant when the planning application was received.

  7. The council have appointed Councillor Mrs Ellacott to be its representative on the Sita Liaison Group.

  8. Council approved a grant of £200 to the St Dennis Welcome Group who provided a support service for local people with mental health problems.
