PARISH COUNCIL NEWS.
The Parish Council meet on the 2nd Tuesday of each month in the ClayTAWC Centre.All meetings start at 7 p.m. and the public are very welcome to attend.There is a regular agenda item of 10 minutes duration when members of the public may speak and raise their particular concerns.
Notes from the Parish Council meeting held on the 11th August.
PCSO Fisher reported that there had been 8 reported crimes in July of which 2 had been detected.
Councillor Greenslade reported on how the new Cornwall Council was progressing. Teething problems had been experienced in the Planning system and the financial outlook for the next few years was poor. As a result of the recession it was possible that Government Grant would reduce and that cuts in services could be made.
New flood lights have been erected in the Playing field replacing those that were vandalised.The new lights will not be operational until a new timing mechanism is installed.
The result of the Council’s bid for funding to replace some old play equipment in the Playing Field will be known in November.
The Council received a report from representatives of the Parish Plan Group which stated that the results of the questionnaires had been analysed and that a précis of the results would be published and circulated to every household in the Parish. Following this,work on the production of the final Parish Plan document would proceed.
The Parish Council have been informed that an Enforcement Notice concerning the use of the Old Fire Station in Robartes Road is likely to be served soon.
