Press release for St Dennis Parish Council meeting April 2007


  1. The results of the public consultation by the County Council over its suggestions for improving the transport system in St Dennis was received.The Council will consider the results and prepare a response to the County Council over the next few months.

  2. Council approved reports from the Planning Committee meetings held on the 17th and 31st March.

  3. The Council’s accounts for 2006/07 were substantially completed and would be forwarded to the council’s independent auditor on 24th April.

  4. Council approved a donation of £250 to the St Dennis AFC and Band Carnival Committee.

  5. Council have reported two more cases of fly tipping to Serco Ltd for action and noted that the problem of fly tipping was increasing.

  6. Council have received notification from Goonvean Ltd of the closure of the permissive footpath between St Dennis and Nanpean so that the Company can create a visibility splay for the road cross-over the B3279.Goonvean have given an assurance that the footpath will be reinstated when the visibility splay is completed.

  7. Council fixed the date for the Annual Parish Meeting as Tuesday 15th May.
