Public Footpaths
St Dennis parish council has responsibility
for all the footpaths in the parish. Funding comes from Cornwall
Count Council, and the system of funding gives more money to the
most used paths.
If you don't use them, you lose them! For more
information on local footpaths see:-
Circular walks
English nature and the county council are
working together to create circular walks in the clay villages.
There are five planned at the moment, but you can already walk
for most of the way on them.
In the St Dennis parish there are two.
The first includes the old railway from Gaverigan manor to Indian
Queens. Then down to Stamps, and back along the railway to St
Dennis.
The second includes St Dennis to Carne, then
Enniscaven. Out to Tregoss moor, and turn in by Toads Hole, and
walk along a newly finished track back to Gaverigan Manor.
For maps and more details of the proposed
walks, contact Ray Perrins, the Rural Issues and opportunities
project officer for English nature, Unit 2A, Rural workshops, St
Dennis, PL26 8DW. 01726 828182 or 07973 813720.
Goss Moor circular multi-use route
It is proposed that a new circular route will be
created after the completion of the dualling of the A30. The
trail will include the track at Toads Hole, the old railway line
from Queens to Gaverigan, the old A30, and the by road at Tregoss
moor. This is an exciting opportunity for safe leasure and
exercise.
For maps and more details of the proposed walks,
contact Ray Perrins, the Rural Issues and opportunities project
officer for English nature, Unit 2A, Rural workshops, St Dennis,

Long distance route
As part of the cycle route network, it is hoped
that the Goss moor circular route will be included in a cycle
route from Newquay to the Eden Project and St Austell. This cross
county route will link up with the north and south coast routes.

officer for English nature, Unit 2A, Rural workshops, St Dennis,
